v0.1
First preview of TheHorn for macOS: hold a shortcut, talk, and your words are typed where your cursor is.
✨ New Features
- Push-to-talk dictation with on-device transcription and a compact recording indicator.
- Text is typed straight into the focused field when you release the shortcut, with an Undo that removes exactly what was typed.
- Optional review window to check, edit and Copy before inserting.
- Rewrite styles (Concise, Polished, Literal) with an inline diff against what you said.
- Dictionary of your own terms to improve recognition and rewrites, with import and export.
- Opt-in session history with 30-day auto-expiry and manual delete.
- Setup screen for permissions, shortcut, language and provider health.
🔧 Improvements
- The shortcut no longer types into the app you're in, and accidental taps are ignored.
- If no text field is focused, or it's a password field, TheHorn shows your text with Copy instead of typing it into nowhere.
- New app icon and menu bar air horn, with a consistent theme across the app.
